We start with a Warmup package at a fixed price of $2,000USD.

For this package, we will ask you to list 5 effects of your choice, and provide references and short description about how you want it and how it will be used in the environment or in the gameplay. With those elements, we will work together to complete the maximum amount of effects until the $2,000USD budget is reached.

We do this with a simple google spreadsheet. Then, we spend around 1 to 3 weeks of work on the effects and iterate with you and your team to find the good fit. The amount of time spent for the creation of the effects themselves is between 20 and 40 hours, so it can give you an idea of the time needed to create 1 effect, but of course this can greatly vary depending on each effect and the amount of custom attributes that you’d need for the game.

Our hourly rate is ranging from $50USD to $200USD, depending of:

  • volume,
  • complexity,
  • emergency,
  • your quality level

After the warmup period, we can define your outsourcing price based on our both side experience for further outsourced effect.

Get the effect back into your engine

Once the creation perfectly fits with your needs and has reached your quality level expectation, we package the effect in a .pkfx file and we send it to you to let you use it into your final project.
