Here Be Dragons is an award winning virtual reality production studio specializing in the creation of premium VR storytelling content.

We seek a established, professional Technical/ Particle Artist to start ASAP to work on a contract basis.

Responsibilities:
Working with a team create to create a unique visual look
Work PopcornFX, & possibly Unity3D
Optimization; use diagnostic tools to examine current content, game performance, and identify areas for improvement
Engage with other FX Artists, Director and Producers
Implement particle systems to help achieve the desired artistic look
Requirements:
Experience with PopcornFX
A combination of strong creative / visual aesthetics and technical knowledge
Highly experienced in creating high-end FX
Highly proficient in developing particle systems
Ability to develop techniques and rigs to achieve and optimize approved looks
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work to tight deadlines
Able to identify inefficiencies and create scripts to automate processes
Have a proactive and problem solving attitude
Ability to self manage, prioritize and work to deadlines
Work well within a team environment

Pluses:
Proficiency in Unity3D
Experience coding custom shaders
Knowledge and experience with scripting languages such as C++
Knowledge on one 3D package (Maya or 3DS Max) for production
Passion for VR
