Technology is changing rapidly in the gaming industry, and we want to continue pushing PopcornFX towards becoming the best VFX solution.
As an engine programmer, you will join the core technology team and develop new innovative, state of the art features, in collaboration with game teams around the world.

This position can lead to travel abroad (USA, Canada, Japan, Korea and / or Europe)

Main missions:

  • Develop PopcornFX on multiple platforms: embedded, consoles, workstations, etc…
  • Improve the integrations into UE4, Unity, Stingray…
  • Develop awesome new features
  • Write clean and efficient code

Skills we look for:

  • Engineer with 2 years minimum experience, preferably in the field of gaming
  • Good problem-solver
  • Extensive knowledge of C / C++
  • Knowledge of CPU architectures (SIMD instruction sets, HW pipelines, cache management)
  • Familiar with GPU hardware pipeline
  • Fluent technical English

Pluses:

  • Experience with graphics APIs such as OpenGL, OpenGL ES, DirectX (9, 11), GNM
  • Experience with various performance profiling tools (VTune, Razor, PIX)
  • Experience with engines and 3D tools used in video game productions
  • Knowledge of next-gen graphics APIs: DX12, Metal, Vulkan
  • Experience with GPGPU APIs : Compute-shaders, OpenCL, CUDA
  • Experience with assembly languages
  • Practice of AGILE methods
