Oven: VectorField

COvenBakeConfig_VectorField

Used for vector-fields.
Applied to: *.fga

Property nameDefault valueDescription
All common properties, see COvenBakeConfig_Base
VectorFormatFp16Specifies the data-format of the vectors stored in the vector-field

  1. Fp16 : 16-bits floating-point, uses 6 bytes per vector. a 32x32x32 vector-field uses 192kb of memory
  2. U8SN : 8-bits fixed-point, uses 3 bytes per vector. a 32x32x32 vector-field uses 96kb of memory
SourceAxisSystemAutoTells the baker which axis-system the original vector-field was saved into.
Some vector-field formats, such as .FGA, do not allow specifying an axis-system in the file, therefore the baker cannot auto-detect the source axis system and you have to specify it by hand. For example, it will usually be ‘RHYUP’ when exported from Houdini.

  1. Auto : Uses the default axis-system (see the ‘-x’ command-line switch)
  2. RHYUP : Bakes the asset in Right-Hand Y-up
  3. RHZUP : Bakes the asset in Right-Hand Z-up
  4. LHYUP : Bakes the asset in Left-Hand Y-up
  5. LHZUP : Bakes the asset in Left-Hand Z-up
